Jenkins v Lombard North Central plc
Queen's Bench Division 29 July 1983 (J.P.280)

Notices on car windscreens were pre-printed with the finance company's name and logo. Relevant prices were stuck onto the notices. The defendant company was charged with a breach of the Consumer Credit (Advertisements) Regulations 1980.

It was held that there was nothing in the advertisements which "indicated a willingness to provide credit" so Section 43 did not apply. Therefore the notice was not a credit advertisement.
